Beautiful Geranium essential oil is best known to balance skin sebum, treat acne, broken capillaries and bruises. In skincare it is especially indicated for disturbed, sensitive skin and wrinkles. 

Geranium also helps to restore and balance the hormonal system and decrease pain and inflammation associated with neuralgia.

Aromatic Influence: It may help to release negative memories and take us back to peaceful, joyful moments. Other Possible Uses: This oil may be used for acne, bleeding (increases to eliminate toxins, then stops), burns, circulatory problems (improves blood flow), depression, digestion, eczema, hormonal imbalance, insomnia, kidney stones, dilating biliary ducts for liver detoxification, menstrual problems, neuralgia (severe pain along the nerve), regenerating tissue and nerves, pancreas (balances), ringworm, shingles, skin (may balance the sebum which is the fatty secretion in the sebaceous glands of the skin that keep the skin supple. Good for expectant mothers, oily skin - as a cleanser, and may even liven up pale skin), sores, sore throats and wounds. Geranium opens the liver chakra and discharges toxins from the liver that prevent us from having balance.

Historical Uses: Geranium essential oil has been used for dysentery, hemorrhoids, inflammations, heavy menstrual flow, and possibly even cancer (if the folk tale is correct). It has also been said to be a remedy for bone fractures, tumors, and wounds. 

Folklore: During the 1600's, European gardeners would plant geraniums around their houses to keep the evil spirits out. However, this oils is not produced from the same geranium as the house plant

Directions for Use: Generally regarded as safe (GRAS) for internal consumption fy the FDA (21CFR182.20)*

  • Dilute one drop of basil oil in 1 teaspoon of honey or 4 oz of beverage (i.e. soy/rice milk)
  • Use 6-8 drops in a diffuser of your choice
  • Apply diluted to temples, tip of nose, flex points, and/or directly on area of concern
