It all started with a party! After both moving to Topanga, we threw a cocktail party and were looking for something different & fun to serve. Tired of wine and totally uninterested in the traditional drink mixers on the shelf, we gathered fresh citrus and herbs from the garden and got creative in the kitchen, cooking up what would become our first few flavors - Sage- Lemon, Rosemary-Grapefruit, and Lavender- Lemon. Paired with vodka and champagne to bring out the newly minted citrus & herb elixirs, the drinks were an immediate hit! We got straight to it, brainstorming about packaging and branding while experimenting with flavor ideas on the stovetop in our kitchen. The passion & momentum only built from there, and three years later our product has achieved the status of a premium brand, carried at retailers such as Bristol Farms, Whole Foods and Crate & Barrel. While we’ve had to scale beyond what our kitchen could handle, Muddle & Wilde’s mixers are still made by hand and cooked in small batches in a local women's owned factory. We start with fresh, organic citrus & infuse organic herbs, spices and flowers to produce a low sugar, concentrated syrup that can be used to make delicious, easy craft cocktails as well as non alcoholic sodas and teas. Each 8oz bottle gives you 16 servings, is shelf stable for 2 years and should be refrigerated after opening and used within 4 months.
