Lilith and the Tree Ring

This ring is inspired by the story of Eve and the tree of Knowledge. Eve was said to be tempted by a snake who spoke to her and so she was seduced into biting from the fruit of the tree when she knew it was forbidden. But snakes don't usually talk. Perhaps, the "snake" was Lilith, Adam's first partner, who wasn't talking about apples at all but sharing with Eve the knowledge that men wanted kept from her. The story gets retold as a cautionary tale... behave or else, do as we say, you are not entitled to know everything... and Lilith is demonized. The patriarchy from day 1.
