After years of searching for (and failing to find) a truly eco-friendly sponge, we set out to create one ourselves. The result is a durable, plastic-free, and biodegradable sponge that is made only with natural, renewable materials. By going back to nature, we made a solution that is clean from production to end of life.

This reusable Scrubber Sponge is made from a durable blend of hemp, organic cotton, and bamboo fill and is designed for both general cleaning and tough scrubbing. Hemp and bamboo are mildew resistant, antimicrobial, and can handle tough jobs without scratching your favorite pots and pans. Paired with durable and absorbent organic cotton, this combination of materials is an excellent choice for the kitchen that will work hard without breaking down like other sponges do.

Like many disposable sponges, we offer a two-sided solution: The scrubbing side is made from 100% hemp, and the washing side is crafted from a certified organic cotton/hemp blend. But unlike other sponges, these can be cleaned and used again and again — just throw them in the dishwasher or washing machine when they look dirty. Every detail matters, which is why all materials that make up this sponge are renewable and plant-based, from the filler to the thread and logo. And when their life comes to an end, these sponges are compostable and biodegradable. Simply cut them up and throw them into the compost.
