In 1962, James A. Mather launched a new steakhouse restaurant chain called Mr. Steak. At its peak, you could find 278 Mr. Steak restaurants all around the United States and Canada. Sadly, the corporation went bankrupt and all locations were closed by the mid-1990’s.
