Sea Waves Denim

Have you ever stood still on the shore just before sunset and watched the gentle play of light on the shallow water? Our Sea Waves Denim handbag is a dreamy embodiment of this serene moment. The outer body material is made of 100% natural plant fibers handwoven with a back strap loom by tribeswomen in one of the Southern islands of the Philippines. It takes 45 days to create just 7 meters of this material. The intricate design is "drawn" by tying knots on the fibers and then dying the material in a type of pattern known as ikat. The blue agate stone on top is fixed with a hand-tooled brass clasp. A brass drop-in chain allows you to wear this clutch as a shoulder bag as well.
