The Hades Ring - Silver

Hades in the ancient Greek religion and myth, is the god of the dead and the king of the underworld. He and his brothers, Zeus and Poseidon defeated their father's generation of gods, the Titans, and claimed rulership over the cosmos. Hades received the underworld, Zeus the sky, and Poseidon the sea, with the solid earth, long the province of Gaia, available to all three concurrently. Hades wife and queen was Persephone, whom he famously abducted with Zeus' permission. The abduction of Persephone was used to explain the changing of the seasons. As the daughter of Demeter, the Goddess of the harvest, she brought life and growth but once Persephone went down to the underworld her mother mourned and so we get Fall and winter. Our ring is sterling silver plated in Rhodium with simulated garnet stones to represent the pomegranate seeds he tricked Persephone into eating.
